Structured optics and optofluidics

Photonics Department

Research Group Leader:

The Group’s present research focus is on nanostructured optical components including flat graded-index lenses or flat surface phase elements for the structuring of light beams. In addition to that, the Group investigates optically active and photosensitive nanostructured glass fibers for fiber laser applications. Optofluidics also remains an important development direction for the team, who currently works on transparent liquid materials and their applications in laser, biosensor, or biomedicine optics.
