The basic elements of the concept of education at doctoral studies at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw are the principle of the unity of science and education, the deepening of understanding of the laws of nature by conducting research, providing access to knowledge and teaching to all who have the right to participate in the building of a knowledge-based society and elite formation. intellectual. The role of the academic tutor is to design a pathway for a PhD student who optimally takes into consideration his or her needs and abilities and ensures the most effective progress in his / her doctoral dissertation.
Ph.D. students are included in research at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw, which provides them with a solid basis for furthering their scientific careers. PhD students also take part in classes assigned to them by scientific tutors - they can be either specialist or monographic lectures conducted at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw, as well as classes taking place outside the Faculty or University. Through active participation in conducting classes for first and second degree students, PhD students learn how to impart knowledge to younger colleagues.
