ABSTRACT:
An immunoassay utilizing the magneto-optical effect is anticipated to offer enhanced sensitivity and superior resistance to electromagnetic interference. This study presents a real-time biosensing technology for immunodetection that employs refractive index manipulation, non-contact characteristics of optical inspection, and quantification of optical spot displacement. The proposed system achieved a detection limit of 0.5 μg/mL for biotin-modified polystyrene microspheres, thereby verifying the efficacy of the sensor for biomolecule detection. This suggested noncontact immunoassay system is straightforward and user-friendly, eliminating the need for tedious procedures such as cleaning, and offers an innovative concept for the construction of novel magneto-optical immunosensors.
