The wind tunnel at the IGF Fluid Dynamics Laboratory is a multi segment device used to generate moderate to high wind speeds (around 20 to 40 m/s). The air is moved by a 560 mm x 640 mm matrix of ventilators, and then after passing through a buffer, it is contracted to a smaller cross section. Then the air passes the measurement section and is further passed through a diffuser to match the standard pressure. Its walls are made from Plexiglas-like material and its skeleton is made from aluminum, therefore it is transparent and resistant to water. Its segment structure allows for easy access inside and makes further development and changes easy.

It was constructed at the Faculty of Physics workshop by Piotr Zbinkowski and others.
