Seminar on atmospheric physics

The seminar is dedicated to presenting the latest developments in atmospheric physics, meteorology, climatology and oceanology. The thematic scope is broad and includes:

  • The dynamics of the atmosphere,
  • Microphysics and dynamics of clouds,
  • Atmospheric aerosols,
  • Radiation in the atmosphere,
  • Weather and climate,
  • Numerical modeling of atmospheric processes.

Speakers of the seminars are employees and PhD students of the Department of Atmospheric Physics at the Institute of Geophysics, other units of the Faculty of Physics and the University of Warsaw (ICM - Interdisciplinary Modeling Center, Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies), and Warsaw and national research institutes dealing with atmospheric research (Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, Institute of Geophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences, Faculty of Environmental Protection, Warsaw University of Technology, Institute of Oceanology, Polish Academy of Sciences and many others). Frequent speakers of the seminars are invited guests from abroad.

Seminars are being conducted more and more often in English.
